The Senate meeting of RTM Nagpur University which was held online on Thursday, will now be held offline. The University’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjauy Dudhe, who presided over the meeting agreed to hold an offline meeting, the date of which will be announced soon.
Dr Dudhe chaired the meeting in the absence of the Vice-Chancellor Dr Chaudhari, who is out of the city.
Senate members including Vishnu Changde, Adv Manmohan Bajpai, Dr R G Bhoyar, Dr Jachak, and Dr Baheti argued for over three hours.
The agenda was about granting approval by the Senate to the university’s Perspective Plan. The plan has already been approved on behalf of the Senate by the VC using the powers vested in him under the Maharashtra Public Universities Act.
The members pointed out mistakes in the Perspective Plan and wanted certain changes to be carried out. They, therefore, demanded that the meeting should be conducted offline so that discussion on the plan can be held.
