There are number of schemes which are beneficial for the agriculturist & agro based projects under the agies of Ministry of Agriculture,Govt of India which extends various grants & subsidy to the eligible projects.Enterpreneurs/Agriculturist who are in this agro sector should avail maximum benefits for their projects said CA Julfesh Shah,renowned incentives consultant & Chairman,COSIA, Vidarbha while adressing the participants during the seminar organised by Agro-Enterpreneurs Forum,Vidarbha.
He further said that as our country’s economy is pre-dominantly based on agriculture,Govt had notified several schemes for promotion of agriculture based projects.For Marketing Research & information network,strengthening of Agmark Grading Facilities,100% grant is extended by the Govt.
Also there are various schemes for assistance to NCDC Programmes for development of cooperatives in agri sector & for establishment of Agri Clinics & Agri Business Centres which are provided with good funds.
Also for small farmers agri business consortium financial assistance with a ceiling of Rs 5 lacs is being provided by Ministry of Agriculture.
Also lucrative schemes by National Horticulture Board are in force under which for horticulture in open field subsidy @40% of project cost with Rs 30 lakh celing & horticulture in protected cover is offered credit linked back ended subsidy @50%of cost limited to Rs 56 lakhs per project.
Horticulture for Post Harvest Management projects & Dairy Entrepreneurship Development back ended capital subsidy schemes are available.,CA Shah added.For construction rural godowns maximum Rs.75 lacs incentives are offered under the Agriculture Marketing Infrastructure scheme.
For cold storage projects also credit linked back ended subsidy to the tune of 35% can be availed by the eligible projects.The need of the hour is to spread the awareness about various agro schemes floated by Government & avail the maximum eligible benefits, remarked CA Shah.
