Power users now have another way to pay their bills. Along with bill collection offices and online payment processors, users will be able to pay their electricity bills at pharmacies, grocery stores, and other establishments.
MSEDCL started its own payment wallet to offer this capability. In the district of Nagpur, 84 payment wallets have been distributed. Of them, 57 are located in urban regions and 27 in rural ones.
Operators of credit societies, grocery, medical and general stores can also obtain wallets. Retailers or shopkeepers de- sirous of getting a wallet have to apply to the divisional office of MSEDCL along with necessary documents. After scrutiny, the application gets approval from Mum- bai.
Aadhaar card, PAN card, GST number, Gumasta certificate, official address, passport photo and canceled cheque are to be submitted along with the application. After the approval of the app from the head office of MSEDCL, the wallet has to be recharged.
