The IRCTC website and app went down on Tuesday due to technical glitches. Because of this, people are neither able to book tickets from the website nor from the app. Money is being deducted but tickets are not being booked. While issuing a statement on this problem, IRCTC has said to remove the problem as soon as possible.
IRCTC tweeted, “The ticketing service is not available due to technical reasons. Our technical team is resolving the issue. We will inform as soon as the technical issue is fixed.”
Due to the breakdown of the IRCTC website and app, the crowd has increased at the reservation window at the station. There has been a rush of people to book tickets at Sitabuldi, Itwari and Ajni. In view of this, the citizens have demanded the railway administration to increase the reservation window till the day this problem is going on.
Passengers can book tickets through other apps after the IRCTC website and app are down. IRCTC has said that users can alternatively book tickets through other B2C platforms such as Amazon, Makemytrip, ixigo etc.
