Hard work, determination and continuous study are keys to success in any competitive examination, said Saurabh Khekde
Khekde, a senior journalist from Dainik Bhaskar was speaking during the ‘Yuvaspandan’ programme organized by the Departments of Public Relations, Students Welfare and Shastravidya Gurukulam of Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University. Khekde recently cleared UPSC examination in Indian Information Services. He stood second at all India level. He worked in the field of journalism for the last eight years.
KKSU PRO Dr Renuka Bokare said that Khekde has been invited to inspire the students.
Khekde said that 12 different options are available in UPSC and MPSC, which are not known to the students. The students should opt for a career as per their liking and aptitude. Narrating his experience as a journalist he said there is no alternative to hard work, honesty, logical thinking, conscience and their balance with emotions. These qualities along with an approach towards social equality and awareness are tested during the interview, he said. He also informed the students that there are institutions to guide the aspirants in pursuing careers in these fields.
Prof Hareram Agasti said that Saurabh’s guidance would help the students in planning their careers.
