Two juvenile Long Billed Vultures, one from Gondia forest division and the other from Nagpur, have been admitted to Transit Treatment Centre (TTC), Seminary Hills for treatment. They appear to be hungry and are not fully grown.
The vultures are included in the red list of the International Union for Conservation of Nature as critically endangered species. As per reports, there could be a possibility of sightings of such vultures in the area.
Therefore, the people finding such vultures should contact the forest department on 0712-2515306 so that they can be given treatment at earliest possible to save them.
