Dr Rajshree Jain and Sushma Vajpayee, two senior women swimmers, won six gold medals in the recently held International Adult Swimming Championships held in Dubai, leading Nagpur to win three gold medals each.
Dr Jain participated in the age group above 65 years. Jain won medals in 200m and 400m freestyle and 200m backstroke, while Sushma, who participated in the 60+ age group, won medals in 100m and 200m freestyle and 100m breaststroke.
Dr Jain has been swimming since the age of 36. Jain has so far earned over 200 medals, including 119 gold, 66 silver and 22 bronze in various competitions. Sushma has also won swimming competitions in the country and abroad.
