About 15,000 students of Nagpur Municipal Corporation schools were administered ‘Panchpran’ oath under the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ mission. The mission is being implemented with great enthusiasim by the students and their teachers.
Municipal Commissioner Dr Abhijit Chaudhari appreciated the efforts of the school teachers and municipal authorities in generating awareness about the mission to inculcate national spirit among the children. The programme was implemented in 129 primary, secondary, high schools, and junior colleges conducted by NMC. This is a step towards making India a self-reliant and developed nation by the year 2047, when India will celebrate 100 years of Independence.
Under the mission information about the history, freedom struggle, freedom fighters and rich heritage of the nation will be disseminated through schools.
Dr Chaudhari attended the programme at Pannalal Devadia Secondary School. Additional Commissioner Anchal Goel administered the oath at Durga Nagar Hindi Secondary School. MLA Krishna Khopde at Sanjay Nagar Hindi School, Deputy Commissioner Ravindra Bhelave at Vivekanand Nagar Hindi School, Assistant Commissioner Prakash Warade at Walmikinagar Hindi School, Assistant Commissioner Harish Raut at MAK Azad Urdu Secondary School, Assistant Commissioner Milind Meshram at Jaitala Secondary School, Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Dhamecha at Dr Ambedkar Secondary School, Assistant Commissioner Ghanshyam Pandhare at Kamalna Secondary School, Assistant Commissioner Ganesh Rathod at Pardi Upper Prime School attended the events.
Brig Sunil Gaopande, Captain Sanjay Khandare, Subhedar Pathe, Srg Kulkarni, Subhedar Indarwal Shyamukmwar, Srg Karunakar Korke, Hawaldar Girish Sethe, Srg Dnyaneshwar Mohod, Santosh Kale Srg Gangthale, Srg Dhomne and others were felicitated at Jaitala School.
