The Crime branch team of Nagpur busted two hookah parlours running in Gokulpeth and Dharampeth areas.
On Saturday, Ambazari police received a tipoff that an illegal hookah parlor was running in Shosha Cafe Lounge, located on the first floor of Gokulpeth, Bhange Complex.
In the raid, police seized 24 hookah pots, various tobacco flavors and other goods worth 47,000. Durgesh Bhavsagar (20) and Karan Devkate (24) were caught serving hookah to the customers.
Similarly, WTF Cafe and Lounge located at Gorepeth, Dharampeth under Sitabuldi police station was also raided by the crime branch. There the accused Ashkumar Chhatri (27) and Saurabh Buxre (25) were serving hookah to the customers.
The police seized goods worth 8,115 including hookah pot, tobacco products and flavors of various companies from the cafe. A case has been registered against both the hookah parlor operators under relevant sections.
