Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court has worked on a holiday keeping in mind the issue of student admission. Considering the need of the case, the Nagpur Bench has given relief to a tribal student by working on August 15. Due to the order of the court, the way of admission to the engineering course of the concerned student has been cleared. The name of the student is Gaurav wagh and he is a resident of Katol.
The Verification Committee rejected Gaurav’s Mana Scheduled Tribe claim. Therefore, he filed a petition in the High Court. Meanwhile, he was required to submit the caste validity certificate by 3 pm on August 16 for admission to the engineering course.
High Court Justices Avinash Gharote and Mahendra Chandwani heard the matter on August 15. Meanwhile, in view of the evidence on record, the controversial decision of the verification committee has been quashed. The court has also ordered the concerned authorities to issue Gaurav a Scheduled Tribe validity certificate and to admit him to an engineering course.
Seven members of Gaurav’s lineage have received Mana Scheduled Tribe validity certificates. That includes his father. However, he was denied a certificate of validity. Adv.Priti Rane argued the case.
