The post-graduate teaching departments of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University had organized a programme to felicitate ex-servicemen under the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ mission. Dean of Interdisciplinary Faculty Dr Prashant Kadu was in the chair.
In his presidential address, Dr. Kadu appealed to the students to strive to resolve the problems of society in a legal manner. He also spoke about the National Education Policy and the ‘Gram Chalo’ mission of the University.
Flight Engineer from Indian Air Force-Ex-Warrant Officer Laxmikant Nandrunkar, Indian Army’s Honorary Captain Subhedar Major Sanjay Khandare, Indian Navy’s officer (Radio) Shashikant Mankundle, Head of PG Law Department Dr. Payal Thawre, Programme Coordinator Dr Girish Kulkarni, Dr Anand Deshmukh of Business Administration Department, Dr Rahul Kharabe were prominent among those present.
Dr Thawre made introductory remarks and gave information about the Meri Maati, Mera Desh mission.
Warrant Officer Nanrdrunkar spoke about Patriotism as the highest mission. Subhedar Major Sanjay Khandare informed about the manner in which the students can join Indian forces. Menkundle narrated the history of the freedom struggle.
Shivani Khandate conducted the proceedings. Dr. Viajayata Uike proposed a vote of thanks.
