Mahametro has said that it is not possible to built a six-lane road in front of Nagpur railway station. Maha Metro Managing Director Shravan Hardikar has said that “At present it is impossible to construct a six-lane road in front of Nagpur railway station. There is land available instead for making a four-lane road. He also said that if the land is made available, metro will also complete the six-lane road.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had announced to break the Tekdi flyover in front of the station and make a six-lane road.
The work of breaking the flyover was started from 19 July. The flyover has also been demolished by spending three crores.
