On Monday, the Kandri area of Kanhan, located about 20 kilometres from Nagpur, witnessed a tragic incident. A 34-year-old man and his 6-year-old daughter lost their lives when their house collapsed following a blasting operation by Western Coalfields Limited (WCL).
The victims have been identified as Kamlesh Gajanan Potekar (34) and Yadvi Kamlesh Potekar (6). The unfortunate incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Monday when the residence owned by the Potekar family crumbled under the impact of a powerful blast carried out by WCL. The devastating outcome claimed the lives of both Kamlesh and Yadvi.
