‘Ayushyaman Bhava’ Mission will be implemented in Nagpur district from September 1. Under the mission to generate awareness about health, conducting examinations and distribution of Ayushyaman Cards will be undertaken.
Nagpur District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar convened a meeting on Wednesday. Civil Surgeon Dr Nivrutti Rathod, Women and Child Welfare Officer Dr Revati Sable, Dr Arif Inamdar, Dr Ganesh Kamble, Dr Sangita Indurkar, representatives of government and private hospitals were present.
Dr Rathod made a presentation on the ‘Ayushyaman Aplya Daari’ (Ayushaman at your doorsteps). A team of doctors will implement the programme in housing societies, Anganwadi, Balwadi, primary schools, community health centres, medical colleges and hospitals etc. The target under the mission for health check-ups and immunization is children from Zero to 18 years of age.
