Union Minister Nitin Gadkari held a meeting with the business persons in connection with the proposed Textile Complex in Ganeshpeth.
Gadkari invited suggestions from the traders. A presentation was made on behalf of MHADA. District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar, Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Chaudhari, MHADA Vice-president Sanjiv Jaiswal, CEO Meghmare, and builder G Shirke were prominent among those present.
The Textile Complex has been proposed to be built on the Empress Mill’s land near Geeta Mandir. The complex will be built on 14 lakh sqft, which will be the market only for small and big cloth merchants. With the construction of the complex, crowding on the roads can be reduced. It will divided into two sections – for men and for women. Adequate parking facilities will be provided in the complex, Gadkari said.
The business persons expressed their views and expectations. Gadkari appealed to submit the suggestions for consideration.
