The meat shops and slaughterhouses in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation area will remain closed on September 6, on the occasion of Shrikrishna Janmashtami.
Dr Gajendra Mahalle, Head of NMC’s Solid Waste Management Department has issued a notification to this effect. The decision was taken based on a resolution passed by NMC in September 2018.
Those violating the order may face stern action, Dr Mahalle has informed.
