Nagpur University has announced a short film competition for university students and for others. The contest is a part of the centenary year celebrations of the university. The total prize money is Rs 1 lakh. Trophies and certificates will also be awarded to the winners.
A team of three to five persons can participate in making the short film. The film can be made using a cell phone for a duration of three to five minutes. The 11 themes for the films are – Success stories of youth (career/education); Civic responsibility, environmental protection, Contribution to nation/ society, Preserving culture and traditions, Women empowerment/ Gender equality, National integration/ communal harmony, Advantages of skill development, Rural development, Social awareness and kindness.
Cash prizes in each category will be Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000. There is no registration fee for the contest. The last date for registration is October 0ctober and the last date of submission of the short film (video plus 100-word synopsis) is November 30.
