The civic administration and Ganesh Utsav Mandals resolved to celebrate the Ganesh Festival, which will be eco-friendly. The Administration and Police Force is ready for the festival.
A meeting of representatives of all Ganesh Mandals and social organizations was held under the Chairmanship of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, at Suresh Bhat Sabhagruha on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashwati Dorje, Municipal Commissioner Dr Abhijit Chaudhari, District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar, Additional Municipal Commissioners Anchal Goel and Nirbhay Jain, RDC Subhash Chaudhari, Deputy Commissioner Suresh Bagle and Dr Gajendra Mahalle, Assistant Commissioner Prakash Warade, Mahesh Dhamecha, Milind Meshram, and other officers were present.
Information about awards to be given by the Maharashtra Government was given during the meeting. A discussion about taking out procession peacefully was also held.
Police Permission: Amitesh Kumar said that efforts have been made to facilitate granting permissions to Ganesh Mandals. NMC has started online registration. He appealed to the people to cooperate with the police.
Dr Chaudhari informed about online registration. The single-window system has been started in all the zones. He also appealed to the people to use eco-friendly Ganesh idols at home.
Dr Itankar gave information about cash prizes instituted by the state government. Anchal Goel provided information about online registration and other relevant permissions. Registration can be done at https://nmcnagpur.gov.in/RTS/
