This year’s annual conference of the Commonwealth Magistrates and Judges Association has been held in Wales (UK) from 10 to 14 September. The Indian delegation will participate in this conference and Senior Supreme Court Justice Bhushan Gavai will lead the panel.
The five-day conference is based on the theme ‘Open Justice Today’. A meeting of the Chief Justice and the Council will be held under the Council. justice Gavai will attend those meetings and provide guidance on various important issues. Apart from this, important issues such as the protection of women and children through criminal and civil orders, new cyber crimes and old laws, transparency in court reporting, human rights, delivery of justice in multilingual areas, etc. will be discussed in the conference. This organization brings together everyone from the lowest to the highest judges of the Commonwealth countries. The organization works to meet the objectives of modernizing the judiciary with time, preserving the independence of the judiciary, reducing crime in Commonwealth countries, improving the quality of legal education, and exchanging information related to law.
