The Maharashtra government will honour The best Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal with awards. Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari has appealed to all Ganeshotsav Mandals in the division to participate in this competition. Applications for awards to Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandals will be accepted till 15th September.
The first three best mandals will be honoured with cash prizes. In this, the first place will be awarded with Rs. 5 lakh, the second place with Rs. 2.5 lakh and the third place with a prize of Rs. 1 lakh and a certificate. While the remaining 41 Ganesh Mandals will be honoured with a prize of Rs. 25 thousand each and a certificate from the state government.
A total of 44 excellent Ganesh mandals will be selected, 3 each from Mumbai, Mumbai (suburban), Pune, and Thane districts and 1 each from other districts. Competition details and selection criteria are mentioned on the government website www.maharashtra.gov.in
