As per the directives of the central government, soil and rice collection has been started in Nagpur under ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ initiative. Various voluntary organizations in Nagpur have taken part in this activity.
As part of the ‘Meri Mati, Mera Desh’ campaign, ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ will be taken out by all the ten zonal office of the NMC. The Yatra will go to every ward in the zone and collect soil or rice from citizens from households. Soil and rice collected from Nagpur Will be sent to Mumbai. After that, this soil and rice will be collected from Mumbai will send to Amrit Kalash at Rajpath in Delhi.
The NMC is appealing to the citizens of the city to participate spontaneously in this activity, participate in the Amrit Kalash Yatra coming to their locality, and cooperate in collecting soil and rice.
