Indian Railways always remains vigilant in dealing with disasters and accidents that occur on the railway. For this reason, Indian Railways has established disaster management teams at various levels, such as medical vans, accident relief trains, railway hospitals and dispensaries, and the Civil Security Organization.
The Civil Security Organization trains all railway employees to deal with daily life and the disasters that occur on the railway so that they can protect themselves and the general public during accidents, fires, and other unusual events, and reduce the impact of accidents.
In this context, a 6-day Divisional Training Center Refresher Course was organized in Ajni from September 11, 2023, to September 16, 2023, under the guidance of the Senior Divisional Security Officer and Divisional Emergency Officer. To assess the quality of employees’ knowledge, a live demonstration was organized by the Civil Security Organization on September 16, 2023, in the premises of Ajni Railway Colony. It demonstrated various types of fires, how to extinguish them, different types of first aid techniques, methods of transporting patients, and rescuing people in case of accidents in multi-story buildings, among other things.
At the beginning of the program, nodal officers of the Civil Security Organization, Senior Divisional Security Officer, and Divisional Emergency Officer briefed Mandal Rail Manager on the activities of the Civil Security Organization.
On this occasion, nearly 450 people, including the Additional Divisional Rail Manager, Chief Medical Director, all branch managers, officers, supervisors, inspectors, and staff, were present.
Divisional Railway Manager Mr Tushar Kant Pandey appreciated the program.
