Along with the network of cement roads in the city, there are many bad roads which have become notorious for their potholes. Amidst all this, the Public Works Department has prepared a proposal to give a facelift to 20 roads in the city. Under this, a total of 23.50 kilometres of roads in the city will be paved and made of cement.
The Public Works Department has prepared a proposal in this regard. This proposal will be sent for consideration by the state government. Funds are required from the Central Road Fund along with the State government for this. Most of the roads have been proposed in Civil Lines, Seminary Hills and its surrounding areas. The longest road in this will be Palm Road. This 2.60 km road will be from Reserve Bank Square to C.P. Club.
The other roads are the DIG office to the High Court, the DIG office to Telangkhedi Lake, Kadbi Square to Santra Market and others.
