Two teams of NDRF and SDRF divided into seven groups started the rescue operations in Nagpur. The teams rescued 140 people so far.

Twelve cattle in the Hajari Pahad area die as water from the overflowing nullah entered their shed. The animals could not move out as they were tied in the shed. District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar visited the spot and consoled the cattle owners Yogesh Warhadkar, Rajesh Warhadkar and Mrunal Bhogal. He also ordered instructions to carry out panchnama immediately. He also assured compensation to the affected families.
RESCUE OPERATIONS: Under the rescue operations 50 students from the university hostel near LAD College, 41 students of Muk-Badhir Vidyalaya, Shankar Nagar, 24 residents of Varma Layout and Samta Layout, 14 travellers from Mor Bhavan Sitabludi and 11 from Panchasheel Chowk, were rescued
