A Kuwait Airlines Boeing-777-300 ER aircraft, which arrived on September 15, is in the final stages of repair at AI Engineering Services Ltd’s (AIESL) MRO at Mihan-Sez area. First foreign aircraft has arrived in Nagpur for major check up in all MROs of AIESL in the country.
The MRO has received FAA certification. After receiving this certificate, the AIESL team informed about the facilities in Nagpur MRO. Kuwait Airlines then showed interest and awarded the maintenance and repair contract for four aircraft. AIESL has significant contribution from AAI, Customs, MADC, MIL and DC-SEZ in bringing foreign aircraft to MRO for major check. On Saturday, AIESL Executive Director Anil Kumar Kapoor will take off the first Kuwaiti flight. After that, another Boeing-777 aircraft of Kuwait Airlines will land in Nagpur for a major check on October 1.
