Around 450 schools in the Nagpur district may face closure, according to the decision by the education department. The department is looking to merge the schools and those with less than 20 students will be shut down.
This step by the education department will deprive the underprivileged students of education. The number of tehsil-wise schools includes 33- Nagpur, 13- Kamptee, 34- Hingna, 39- Narkhed, 51- Katol, 25- Kalmeshwar, 39- Saoner, 35- Ramtek, and so on.
