A shocking fact was revealed that 24 patients died within 24 hours in a government hospital in Nanded. This created a stir across the state. Now it has come to light that 25 people have died within 24 hours in both GMCH and IGMCG Government Medical College and Hospital in Nagpur.
Mayo-GMCH in Nagpur treats patients in critical condition from the neighboring states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana along with Vidarbha. 1 Thousand 401 medical beds are authorized for these patients and total 1 thousand 800 beds including trauma and additional beds. Whereas in Mayo it has 830 beds. In both the hospitals, 1500 patients are admitted for treatment every day. So, in order to reduce the death rate of private hospitals, patients on ventilators in critical condition are brought to government hospitals for treatment at the last moment.
Meanwhile, on October 2, 16 patients died in 24 hours at GMCH and 9 at Mayo Hospital. These patients are of different ages. Out of the patients who died in the GMCH, 8 patients were shifted here in critical condition from private hospitals. The GMCH doctors kept these patients in the intensive care unit. But they died within 24 hours. The situation was the same in Mayo. Due to this, the hospital administration says that the death toll is high.
