Finally, the forest department allowed the cutting of trees, it is being said that the hurdle in the construction of the hospital has been removed as the Garden department of NMC took the initiative to plant six thousand trees in return.
GMC cancer hospital was approved for 11 years but remained on paper. On the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently laid the foundation stone of the work worth 514 crores. It also included the construction of cancer hospital. The construction of the hospital is proposed on an area of ​​22 thousand 570 square meters in the area of ​​TB ward. There are 191 trees in this place. The GMC administration gave a letter to the NMC Garden department to cut this tree. The department suggested to plant 6,500 trees in return for this tree and maintain it for 7 years.
