The Rotary District 3030 through the Rotary Club of Nagpur Downtown in association with the District Administration has planned to extend free teaching to about 50,000 needy students using the Android Mobile App. Nagpur Divisional Commissioner Vijaylaxmi Bidri informed about the ‘Akanksha’ and ‘Shikshan Aplya Daari’ projects. All the subjects will be taught in easy language for Standard X students.
In Nagpur Division the needy students of Zilla Parishad, Municipal Corp[oration and Municipal Council schools will be provided guidance.
The Rotary Club office bearers Virendra Patrikar and Mohan Pande handed over the Consent Letter to Bidri on Tuesday.
Akaknksha project will be implemented for Std X and Std IX Marathi, semi-English and English medium students. Earlier district-wise registration will be done through the heads of the schools. A log-in facility will be provided through the school heads. Deputy Commissioner Kamalkishor Futane and Assistant Commissioner Sanghmitra Dhoke have been appointed to coordinate the project. The curriculum is approved by the State Government’s Balbharati Board.
The project is being implemented for students who cannot afford private tuition. The Rotary District will provide the Android Mobile App to the students registered under the project.
