The Crime branch busted Sex racket in name of saloon at Swami Vivekananda Chowk on Wardha road. A team of Unit 1 of the Crime Branch raided and arrested the two accused. Police rescued a minor girl from there.
The police laid a trap through a dummy customer. On raiding there, the accused Deepak Madan Katwate (36, Fourth Class Building, Civil Lines, MLA Niwas) and Praveen Rambhau Kanholkar (46, Borgaon Marg, Gorewada) were arrested. They used to lure poor girls with money and provide them with customers and places for prostitution.
Police also found a minor girl at the spot. The police have registered a case under PITA and POCSO sections against both the accused. the mobile phones of the accused were also seized.
