A total of 286 people, including 18 Nepali citizens arrived in New Delhi late on Tuesday night. This is the fifth flight engaged in the rescue operation called Operation Ajay, for Indian nationals stranded in war-torn Israel.
So far 1,180 Indians brought back from Israel including 18 Nepali nationals also were brought back.
Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development L Murugan was present at the airport to receive them.
Under Operation Ajay, 1,180 Indians have already been brought back from Israel. Murugan said, “We are the first country to start the evacuation, and we are also bringing people belonging to our neighbouring countries (Nepal)”, according to the media reports.
Those who arrived on Tuesday night expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Government.
