The Western Coalfields Limited is implementing a Special Campaign– 3.0 under the ‘Swachha Bharat’ and ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ national movements.
Besides maintaining regular cleanliness effective scrap disposal, resolving grievances, clearance of pending files etc have been undertaken on a war footing. . So far 46 million tonnes of steel scrap, 9450 Litres of waste oil, 181 old tyres, 40 non-functional batteries and other waste material were disposed of. Out of the sale of the scrap Rs 32.52 lakh were earned. WCL cleaned an area of about 5599 Sqft, and the authorities directed to keep the space clean. Besides disposing of the scrap, cleanliness in the office is being maintained.
More than 20,000 paper files and e-files were reviewed. Out of these files action relating to 9,422 was initiated.
Redressal of the grievances is an important issue. Most of the grievances were handled and only a few are pending disposal due to various reasons.
WCL is encouraging its employees to maintain cleanliness at the workplace and also effective disposal of pending work, according to a press note issued here.
