The NIT swimming pool, which was closed after heavy rains on September 23 has reopened after 33 days. The water purifier also broke down along with accumulation of two feet mud.
On the flood day, there was four to five feet of water above the swimming pool. when the water receded, two feet of mud and stones were accumulated in the swimming pool. the project suffered a loss of around one crore due to the failure of all the water purification and other machines. Finally, the Swimming pool reopened for swimmers on Wednesday.
