JCPE College emerged overall champion in the Inter-Collegiate Athletics Championship conducted by the RTM Nagpur University on its newly laid athletic track. The colleges secured 88 points.
S B City College secured the second position with 80 points, while the at third position with 60 points stood at the Saket College of Physical Education, Gondia.
In the women’s group, JCPE College secured 46 points to stand at the top. It was followed by S B City College with 31 points and Samarth Mahavidyalaya, Lakhni with with 24 points at the third position. In the Men’s Category S B City College with 41 points secured the first position and Samarth Mahavidyalaya second position with 38 points, JPEC came third with 33 points.
Mitali Bhoyar of MM College of Science was selected for the Best Athlete Award in the Women’s Category. Riya Dohtare of Chakrapani Mahavodyalaya stood second. In Men’s Category Saurabh Tiwari of S B City College was selected for the Best Athlete Award.
Swati Uike and Aman Shendre were the Best Jumpers. Mitali Bhoyar and Ranjan Yadav were selected for the Best Endurance awards.
The best Throwers were Jati from Puja College of Physical Education, Gondia and Priya from PPEC. The best Srinters were V Nageshwari of SFS College and Adarsha Bhure of Vidyabharati College, Selu.
RTMNU Finance and Accounts Officer Harish Paliwal was the chief guest for the prize distribution ceremony. Madhukar Wasnik PWS College Principal Dr Yashvant Patil was the guest of honour. Director of Sports of RTMNu Dr Dharad Suryavanshi. Members of the Board of Sports and Physical Education Dr Nitin Jangitwar and Dr Dhananjay Welukar were present.
Dr Sonali Shirbhate conducted the proceedings. Dr Suryavanshi made introductory remarks. Dr Aditya Soni proposed a vote of thanks.
