Indian Railways have decided to re-route five trains via Nagpur following collision of two passenger trains in East Coast Railway Zone in southern India.
The five trains which have been put on diverted route are:
033357 Barauni-Comibarote that commenced journey on October 28 would now run via Titlagarh-Raipur-Nagpur-Ballarshah- Kazipet then onto Vijaywada and ahead to its destination.
Train No 18189 Tata-Ernakulam of October 29 is also going to run via Gotlam, Titlagarh, Nagpur, Ballarshah, Kazipet, Vijaywada.
Train No 11020 Bhubaneshwar-CSMT of October 29 and Train No 12245 Howrah- Sambhalpur are also going to run via the similar diverted route.
Nagpur station of Central Railway can be used as a pass through on the East to South route owing to its geographical location. However, while coming from the Eastern side, the route is saturated, the long distance trains scheduled of regular trains are bound to get disturbed as respective division operating controls would have to do the tightrope walk.
The collision of two trains on Kantakapalle-Alamanda route has led to dis- ruption of connectivity on South to East route of Indian Railways.
