On Wednesday, Kozhikode, a city in Kerala, was included in UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network (UCCN). Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior was one of the 55 new cities to sign up for the network.
These cities have been carefully chosen to embody the seven creative domains: media arts, music, design, film, gastronomy, crafts and folk arts, and literature. Gwalior was added to the music category and Kozhikode to the literature category.
Kozhikode, a city in North Kerala, is home to numerous well-known figures from the state’s literary and cultural scenes.
