Global higher education analyst QS Quacquarelli Symonds has released the 2024 QS World University Rankings: Asia. India now has 148 featured universities, 37 more than the previous year, making it the “most represented higher education system.”
Japan is next with 96 and Mainland China with 133. For the first time, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Nepal are included.
The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) is the best university in India. According to rankings, IIT Bombay is ranked 40th in Asia. Notably, the top three national rankings don’t change from the previous iteration of the rankings.
IISc Bangalore, Delhi University, and five Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kharagpur, and Kanpur) have all managed to secure spots among the elite top 100 Asian universities, just like they did the previous year.
