The laxity of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation in the matter of stray dogs has been exposed once again and a five-year-old girl’s life was saved in a dog attack. The dogs attacked a girl who was playing in front of the house and literally broke her waist. The girl got 13 stitches all over her body. This incident took place at Shiv Vihar Society in Sonegaon.
The injured girl has been identified as Manwa Pankaj Gujar. She used to play with her elder sister in front of the house in the evening. After playing at around 6:30, she was going home holding her sister’s hand when four or five dogs came barking in her direction and attacked both the sisters. The elder sister managed to get to safety. But Manava fell down and the dogs bit her. Her waist literally broke. She suffered deep wounds up to two inches across her body. Hearing her screams, her mother Latika and the neighbors rushed. She was rushed to the hospital in a pool of blood.
