Nagpur to Shirdi flight service is likely to start soon. Efforts will be made to start Nagpur to Shirdi flight after the completion of the new terminal, said a statement issued by Swati Pandey, Managing Director, Maharashtra Airport Development Company.
Apart from Mihan-SEZ, Nagpur International Airport, MADC is upgrading Shirdi Airport with a new terminal building under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS). Shirdi airport used to handle 300 passengers initially. Now this number has increased to 2000 per day. Terminal building work is underway to accommodate the ever-increasing passenger traffic at Shirdi.
Pandey held discussions with representatives of various companies in Mihan-Sez. Roads, fire fighting facilities and other infrastructure were discussed. Also, a sewage treatment plant of 3.5 Dalghmi capacity will be set up here. It was said that this project will be implemented in three-four months. Pandey appealed to all stakeholders to come forward for social commitment contribution for health, skill development, employment for Mihan project victims. she also appealed to all stakeholders to jointly develop a green zone on two acres. The meeting was organized by HCL Limited at their campus in Mihan Sez.
