Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar have received death threats. The accused couple who threatened the ministers have been identified as Baba Maski and Shobha Maski. The police have registered a case regarding the threat given through social media and have started taking action against the accused.
The couple Baba Maski and Shobha Maski have protested many times on various issues. The Muski couple targeted Fadnavis and Mungantiwar and issued outright death threats, saying the government was not taking concrete action on separate Vidarbha, land leases to encroaching farmers and crop damage by wildlife.
