The verdict of the court will come on November 28 in the case of NDCC bank scam. Former state minister and senior Congress leader Sunil Kedar is the main accused in this case.
The scam took place during 2001-02. when Sunil Kedar was the chairman of the bank. Some companies in Mumbai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad had purchased government bonds worth Rs 125 crore from bank funds. After this, these companies did not pay the government bonds and did not even return the money to the bank. Kishore Belle, the then Deputy Superintendent of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), was the investigating officer of this scam. after completion of the investigation, the charge sheet was filed in the court on 22 November 2002. this matter is pending since then.
The accused in the scam include Sunil Kedar, the then general manager of the bank Ashok Namdev Choudhari, the then chief accountant Suresh Damodar Peshkar, bond broker Ketan Kantilal Seth, Subodh Chanddayal Bhandari, Nandkishore Shankarlal Trivedi, Amit Sitapati Verma, Mahendra Radheshyam Aggarwal, Shriprakash Shantilal. Poddar. among the other two accused, the case against bond broker Sanjay Hariram Agarwal has been stayed by the Bombay High Court, while Kanan Vasant Mewala is absconding. All the accused in the case have been ordered to appear in the court on the day of judgment.
