At present, due to shortage of power generation in Maharashtra, industries are facing power cuts, which hampers the production capacity of the units. Apart from this, due to the electricity rate of industries in Maharashtra being higher than other states, there is a need to install captive solar systems. This can lead to reduction in power bills due to which industries, especially MSME units, get reduction in production costs and can become empowered to compete. On this note,the delegation of COSIA Vidarbha met the Industries Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Uday Samant on his recent visit to the city and submitted a memorandum to take positive steps in this regard in the upcoming new industrial policy of Maharashtra The delegation under the leadership of Chairman,COSIA Vidarbha CA Julfesh Shah met the Industries Minister & deliberated on the problems of the industries and gave various suggestions for the betterment of the industries in the upcoming new Industrial Policy of Maharashtra.Also it represented on the need to carve out some special schemes to encourage the service sector, agro sector, IT sector to boost these sectors . All the issues like allotment of MIDC land, notices issued by GST to the units on transfer of MIDC land, burden on entrepreneurs due to demand by imposing GST on services by MIDC were all shared in the representation & thoroughly briefed. Industry Minister Shri Samant assured the representatives of COSIA that he will take up the issues positively as requested and try to resolve them. On this occasion, Ramtek MLA Shri Ashish Jaiswal, young entrepreneur Salil Deshmukh, Treasurer Nitin Alshi, Rajkumar Chokhani, Abhimanyu Chawla, ArunpalSingh Behal, Joint Director Industries Gajendra Bharti, MIDC RO Mahendra Patel and other entrepreneurs were present.
