The Rains continued on Tuesday as well. Changes in weather have increased the cold in Nagpur. The Meteorological Department had predicted unseasonal rain in the entire state including Vidarbha.
Due to unseasonal rains, there has been a sharp drop in the temperature in all the districts of Vidarbha including the sub-capital. According to the IMD maximum temperature in Nagpur dropped by 6.4 degrees Celsius from normal to 24.2 degrees Celsius.
There has been huge damage to crops due to rain. Cotton, tur and other crops have been damaged. The farmers had not yet recovered from the floods in the Kharif season, compensation for the previous losses has not yet been received from the administration, while the rains again have put the farmers in great trouble.
Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis assured all possible relief to the farmers. He said that we have asked all the District Magistrates to send reports regarding crop damage. Farmers will be helped as per the government policy.
