Against the expectations and predictions, Bharatiya Janata Party has surged ahead in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh in `11the Assembly polls, the counting of which began on Sunday morning. A neck and neck contest was expected in Rajasthan and BJP was not very confident in Chhattisgarh.
The recent trends around 12 noon, indicate BJP’s victory in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, and also in Chhattisgarh. Telangana was not e contest for BJP. It was between the BRS and Congress.
Out of the 199 seats in Rajasthan BJP is surging ahead in 112 seats against 67 in favour of Congress. In Madhya Pradesh BJP is leading in 157 seats out of a total of 230, leaving Congress far behind with lead in only 69 seats.
In Chhattisgarh, where Congress was expecting to gain, is trailing with a lead in 37 out of a total of 90 seats. BJP is moving ahead with a lead in 51 seats.
In Telangana Chandrashekhar Rao-led BRS is trailing with lead in 37 outs of 119 seats for which elections were held. Congress has gained with lead in 67 seats.
Although the final results are not final, the trends indicate the final position with a little change in the figures.
