A cab driver who went to pick up a passenger was brutally beaten up by four to five auto drivers. The incident took place at Nagpur Railway Station on Moday. The injured cab driver has been identified as Pankaj Dhawale. He reached the road in front of the west gate of the main railway station around 10.30 am today.
Accused Altaf Ansari and his accomplices rushed to Pankaj after seeing the passengers being put into the cab. They argued with him and punched and kicked him, Pankaj started bleeding from his nostrils as he was punched under the eyes and on the nose. The bystanders came running and freed him from the clutches of the accused. Sitabuldi police have registered a case against the accused under IPC section 323 and 504.
