Actor Dinesh Phadnis, who gained popularity as Fredricks on the crime drama CID, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, December 5.
After sustaining liver damage a few days prior, the actor was fighting for his life in the intensive care unit.
He was placed on ventilator support since he had been critically ill for the previous few days.
According to Shetty, Phadnis’s liver damage was a side effect of the other medications she was taking. He claimed that Phadnis was receiving treatment for a different illness, and those drugs had a negative impact on his liver.
Shetty revealed that the CID team was still “very thick” after all these years and that they frequently got together for little get-togethers.
In the Indian television industry, Phadnis was well-known for portraying police officers in the majority of his roles.
