People will have to get Ayushyaman Bharat Gold card, if they wish to avail free health treatment under Mahatma Phule Janarogya Yojana, said Chief Executive Officer of Nagpur Zilla Parishad Soumya Sharma. The Government has made facility available at all taluka and Gram Panchayat levels for getting the Ayushyaman Bharat Gold Card.
The Government of India has initiated the mission and the card can be prepared by the end of December. The card can also be prepared through an App, she said.
The scheme was introduced so that the economically weaker sections can get free treatment for all health ailments. Under the scheme treatment upto Rs 5 lakh can be availed without paying a single rupee. This includes 1209 kinds of treatments including surgeries.
A portal has been prepared for getting the card. Asha volunteers have also been trained to help the prospective beneficiaries. The App can be downloaded and installed through Playstore. The required information about the Aadhar Card, Ration Card can be submitted. The phone number linked to the Aadhar Card should be submitted for completing the formalities.
This facility has been made available by the Government of India for extending free health facilities for the economically backward people.
In Nagpur the number of people who have drawn the Gold Card is 33,24,917, of which 8.75 lakh possess the Gold Card. The remaining people should start drawing the card immediately, she said.
