There was a loss of crores in many areas due to flood in Nagpur City in the September Month. Immediate help was expected from the state government. The Panchnama was also done accordingly. However, only 85 lakhs have been approved to help the citizens when there has been a loss of crores. state government gave this information in the Legislative Council on Monday.
Amol Mitkari, Vikram Kale, Sudhakar Adbale, Abhijeet Wanjari and other members raised a question in this regard. Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Anil Patil has clarified this matter in his written reply. Many houses and infrastructure were damaged in Nagpur due to heavy rains in September. Four civilians were also killed. According to the government decision of November 30, a fund of Rs 85.44 lakh was approved for the loss of damaged houses in Nagpur city. Patil informed that the families of the deceased have been helped by Rs 4 Lakh.
In reality, thousands of houses in slums and low-lying areas were damaged in the floods in Nagpur. even houses in posh areas were submerged in water. Electronic goods, furniture in many houses were damaged. In such a situation, many questions are being raised as the direction for disbursement of funds of only 85 lakhs has been issued.
