Raghav Bhangde, a nine-year-old karate student, set a new record on Sunday by walking 100 meters barehanded in 1.43 seconds at the RTMNU synthetic track.
He charmed the jury members, which consisted of ex-director of the Department of Sports and Physical Education Dr. Dhananjay Welukar, director Dr. Sharad Suryawanshi, Dr. Madhvi Mardikar, and national yoga player Dhanashri Lekurwale. Dr. Subhash Choudhary, Vice-Chancellor of RTMNU and President of Veda Vasudev Pratishthan Ajit Dada Tukhdev, MLA Vikas Thakre, former corporator Dr. Pariniti Fukey, MPCC general secretary Mujib Bhai Pathan Sanjeev Sharma, Masoom Dabhai, and several others.
During a talk with Raghav, he attributed all of his accomplishments to his parents, Advocate Sahil Bhangde (father) wife Trupti Bhangde (mother). Raghav further stated that he has been coached under the capable supervision of his instructor, Vijay Ghichare, who also serves as the president of the Vidarbha Karate Association, and that he expects to achieve even greater success in the coming days. Raghav is now eligible for inclusion in the Guinness Book of World Records, according to his coach.
The little master has three records in his name to date. The first occurred on December 15, 2019, when Raghav, then five years old, smashed 125 tiles in one minute. He proceeded to set milestones throughout the two subsequent years. The second highest stair climb is in chakrasana. On 5 December 2020, the black belt holder ascended 102 steps in that posture in 1 minute 51 seconds, and his third feather was incorporated on 5 December 2021, when 7 years old Raghav strolled upside down from the staircase.
