The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) plans to allow passengers to use UPI on its buses in order to implement a cashless payment system. The company is launching new Android-enabled ETI devices for the same reason. Soon, ticket purchases can be made by citizens by using the conductor to scan the QR code. This would put an end to the conductor’s frequent struggle with change when issuing travel tickets.
The MSRTC has completed plans to allow debit or credit card purchases for tickets on its buses following the introduction of QR codes. Travelers are currently being introduced to standard operating procedure (SOP) for QR code-based transactions. Customers can call 800688006 for others and 400 for Airtel Sim Card users in the event that a UPI transaction fails. Additionally, individuals can communicate via email at wecare@airtelbank.com. Every phone number will be accessible for 24 hours.
